Kerala Govt hands over Golf Club

Thiruvananthapuram, Jun 3 (UNI) The Kerala Government today handed over the Thiruvananthapuram Golf Club to the club authorities, a day after it took possession of it.

The Government handed over the Golf Club after the High Court yesterday directed it to hand over the club to the club officials, by today. The court passed the order a few hours after the Revenue Department took possession of the club.

The Court had also asked Revenue Secretary to appear in person on June nine to answer the charges of alleged disregard of the instructions of the Advocate General.

Meanwhile, the Government decided to file a counter affidavit tomorrow against the direction. The decision was taken at a high- level meeting here.
