Haryana introduces Women PCR Van services

Chandigarh, Jun 3 (UNI) To prevent the crime against women, the Haryana Police have introduced Women PCR Van services in Faridabad, Sirsa and Rohtak districts.

Giving this information here today, a police spokesman said out of the total 158 complaints received at PCR vans, about 150 has been solved.

He said 85 written complaints had been registered in district Faridabad of which 77 complaints had been solved while investigations were on in the remaining eight cases.

Similarly, 18 cases of crime against women had been solved in district Sirsa.

Referring to the achievements made by women PCR vans in district Rohtak, he said immediate action has been taken by the women PCR against the 47 written complaints registered.

He said for registering the complaints, women could contact the helpline numbers 9911599100, 9896321001 and 9996028351 in district Faridabad, Sirsa and Rohtak respectively. Toll free landline number for district Sirsa was 1090, he said.

Woman PCR van services would soon be launched in other districts of the state, he added.
