Fire in Noida plastic factory under control
Noida, June 3 (UNI) The blaze which occurred early today in a plastic manufacturing plant in Noida has been brought under control.
Fire Service Officer (FSO) Abhay Bhan Pandey said 19 fire tenders has been pressed into service and the fire which started at 0715 hrs, was brought under control and will be extinguished in an hour.
No one was injured in the fire and the neighbouring factories were also saved from the blaze.
The FSO said the fire tenders has been called in from Bulandshahr, Ghaziabad, Noida and New Delhi.
The fire occurred at the facory 'Delhi Control Services', which manufactured covers for electric meters.
The owner of the factory Mr D P Gupta, a retired IAS official estimated the loss to about than Rs 70 to 80 crore.
