Engineers India Q4 net up at Rs 56.65 cr

New Delhi, June 3 (UNI) Engineers India Ltd today said its net profit has increased 33.30 per cent to Rs 56.68 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2008 as compared with Rs 42.52 crore during the same quarter in 2007.

Total income for Q4 FY08 has increased 37.51 per cent to Rs 287.77 crore from Rs 209.26 crore during Q4 FY07, a company statement said.

For the year ended March 31, 2008, its net profit increased 36.09 per cent to Rs 194.60 crore as against Rs 142.99 crore during FY07, while the total income increased to Rs 873.32 crore during FY08 as compared to Rs 678.87 crore, a hike of 22.26 per cent during the last fiscal.

The Board of Directors of the company recommended a final dividend of 70 per cent on the paid-up share capital.
