US embassy advisory asks Americans to avoid traveling in Pak

Lahore, June 3 : Following yesterday's bomb blast near the Danish embassy in Islamabad killing eight persons, the US embassy here has asked its citizens not to visit the blast site, avoid traveling in Pakistan, and maintain a low profile.

In a Warden Notice released on its website, the US reminded "all Americans to use extra precautions when traveling throughout the city", reported the Daily Times.

The embassy also requested the Americans to defer all non-essential travel to Pakistan.

It also recommended to all American citizens that they should vary their routes and times, avoid areas where Westerners are known to congregate, and maintain a low profile.

The Warden Notice also cautioned American citizens against attending any demonstrations, protests, and large gatherings.
