Congman wants senior Telangana party leaders expelled
Hyderabad, Jun 3 (UNI) Congress leader from Telangana, Mr G Prakash Rao, today asked the party high command to take ''stern action'' against senior party leaders from the region for indulging in ''anti-party'' activities.
A delegation of the party leaders from the region would go to New Delhi shortly to press for the expulsion of Senior Congress leaders G Venkatswamy and V Purushotam Reddy and Nizamabad MP Madhu Yashki Goud for ''working against the party's interests,'' he told reporters here.
It was unfortunate the leaders, by ''twisting facts,'' claimed the TDP gained in strength after the byelections.
The claim came at a time when the party regained the Adilabad Lok Sabha Seat held by the Congress only once between 1989 and 1991 after the formation of the TDP in 1984.
Similarly, the Congress had won the Vikarabad Assembly Seat after a gap of 24 years and Dichpalli and Yellareddy after 30 years, he added.
