5 grenades recovered from hideouts in Jammu
Jammu, June 3 (UNI) Security forces today recovered a cache of ammunition, including five grenades, from militant hideouts busted in twin bordering districts of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources here said.
According to the sources, acting on specific information, troops of the 156 Infantry Battalion busted a hideout in the Thanamandi area of Rajouri district.
''One pistol, two Chinese hand grenades, 72 rounds of pika rifle, 120 rounds of AK rifle and other war-like stores were recovered from the site of the hideout,'' defence spokesman Lt Col S D Goswami told UNI.
Meanwhile, troops of the 61 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) recovered three grenades and 19 rounds of pika ammunition from another hideout busted in the Gool area of Reasi district, he added.
