38-yr-old killed as cricket ball hits him

Barwani, MP, Jun 3 (UNI) A 38-year-old man was killed when a cricket ball hit his stomach in this district's Warla area, police said today.

Pathan Singh, who was already suffering from a stomach ailment, was on his way home yesterday after purchasing medicine when the ball hit him suddenly. A match was in progress nearby. Enraged over the incident, Singh hit the batsman with the ball and a fight ensued.

He was rushed to a private doctor and later referred to Maharashtra's Shirpur area but succumbed en route. The cricket players were yet to be identified, police added.
