Two killed in road accidents in Patan

Ahmedabad, Jun 2 (UNI) Two people, including a girl, were killed and 23 others injured, in two different road accidents near Patan city today.

According to police, a Turbo truck hit a motorbike on Harij-Sami road, killing Dahyabhai Thakore (50) on the spot. Police has registered a case against the truck driver, who fled the scene.

In another accident, a jeep hit a man and his daughter Sonal (8), who were walking on the Patan-Shihori road, killing the girl on the spot and injuring the man. The jeep then overturned, a few kilometers away, as the driver lost control over the vehicle, injuring as many as 22 passengers.

All the injured have been admitted to Patan civil hospital.
