Nada Gouda appointed JD(U) Karnataka chief

New Delhi, Jun 2 (UNI) Dr M P Nada Gouda, Member of Legislative Council, has been appointed as head of the Karnataka Pradesh Janata Dal (United) by party president Sharad Yadav after accepting the resignation of Mr B Somasekhar.

Acknowledging the contribution of Mr Somashekhar during his tenure as president, the party said in a statement that other office-bearers would be appointed after consultation with the Central and State leadership.

Dr Nada Gouda was earlier functioning as General Secretary of the JD(U).
