Indian maid held on occult charges
Dubai, Jun 2 (UNI) An Indian housemaid has been detained in Kuwait on charges of practising sorcery which is banned in Islamic countries.
Police are interrogating the maid.
The suspect was arrested, based on a complaint filed by her sponsor after he found amulets and strange objects in her room.
Police have confiscated the objects, human hair and civil IDs of Kuwaitis.
Witchcraft is practised in Gulf countries mostly by the African Arabs and is punishable by law.
