HC directs UP govt to submit documents of land allotment case
Lucknow, Jun 2 (UNI) Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court today directed the Uttar Pradesh government to submit all the reports and documents concerning land allotment to Samajwadi Party general secretary Amar Singh in Gomtinagar area here.
The next hearing has been fixed for June 4.
A bench comprising Justices U K Dhawan and Sabihul Hasnain gave the decision on a petition filed by SP leader and MP Amar Singh.
According to state government's prosecutors, the probe under the scam had been done and reports were submitted to the government, thus the petition holds no ground. They also said no case regarding the same had been registered in the apex court.
Mr Amar Singh's counsel Virendra Bhatia said the UP governemnt had constituted a R S Lakha committee and initiated iavestigation under political vendetta.
He also said that a case regarding the same is in the Supreme Court.
