Former minister and his son get life imprisonment in murder case
Nawada, Jun 02 (UNI) A local fast track court today awarded life imprisonment to former Bihar Animal Husbandry Minister Aditya Singh and his son in connection with a murder case.
The court also slapped fine of Rs 50,000 against each of the convicts.
Fast track court judge Vijay Shankar Pathak found both the accused guilty under section 302/34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Arms Act on May 30 and had reserved its final verdict for today.
According to the charges, a brick kiln owner was shot dead in Gowasa village under Narhat police station in the district on February 27, 2000.
Mr Singh, his son and two others were named accused in the case.
