CPI(M) demands CBI probe into murder case

Puducherry, Jun 2 (UNI) The Puducherry unit of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has demanded a CBI probe into the murder of Jayaraman, a computer operator at the Pondicherry Central University, recently.

In a resolution adopted at an Executive Committee meeting of the party here yesterday, the party demanded action against senior police officals on their alleged inaction on the investigation.

In another resolution, the pary welcomed the abolition of entrance examination for admissions to professional courses in Puducherry.

The pary also urged the administratin to take immediate steps to get 50 per cent reservation for students in private medical and engineering colleges here.
