BJP leader held for plotting murder; shooter at large

Jaunpur, Jun 2 (UNI) Police today arrested two people, including Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, for killing District Inspector of School (DIOS) in this district on Wednessday.

On May 28, DIOS Dinesh Chandra Pandey was shot dead at his work place, police superintendent Chandra Prakash said.

Power department clerk Jitendra Prajapati and Jafarabad BJP leader Prakash Singh were held for conspiring the murder, however, the main accused Anjini Srivastava was still at large.

Police has declared Rs 2,500 reward on the head of the absconding criminal, besides sending a police team to Bihar.
