8 MRPS activists surrender in newspaper office attack case

Hyderabad, June 2 (UNI) Eight activists of the Madiga Reservation Poratta Samithi (MRPS) today surrendered before the Jubilee Hills police in a case pertaining to the attack on a Telugu newspaper office here last week.

Police said cases were lodged against the MRPS activists under various sections and they would be produced before a local court tomorrow.

The MRPS activists had allegedly attacked the 'Andhra Jyothi' office and set afire furniture last week for hurting their feelings by publishing an 'objectionable article'.
