Yeddyurappa to commence his Delhi visit on June 1

New Delhi, June 1: Karnataka's new Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa will begin his two day visit to the Capital this morning. The Chief Minister will attend the BJP National Executive today and also call on senior party leaders Atal Bihari Vajpayee and L K Advani at their residences. Tomorrow he is scheduled to call on Vice President Hamid Ansari and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, sources said.

The first ever Bharatiya Janata Party government in South in Karnataka headed by B S Yeddyurappa was sworn in Karnataka on May 30. Governor Rameshwar Thakur had administered the oath of office and secrecy to Mr Yeddyurappa and 29 of his cabinet colleagues at a grand ceremony held on the portals of the Vidhana Soudha in the presence of thousands of party workers who had thronged the city from various parts of the state for the historic occasion.
