Summer vacation in Jammu from June 7

Srinagar, June 1: Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered that all educational institutions of Jammu division will observe summer vacation from June 7.

An official spokesman said here today that all institutions, including recognised private schools up to higher secondary level Jammu division will remain closed till July 31.

However, the educational institutions of the winter zone of Jammu division will also observe five days summer vacation from June 7 to June 11, 2008.

The order further said that process of admission of students to the higher classes will however continue.

No decision about summer vacation in Kashmir division was taken.
