''Sarvajan Hitaya'' bus services in UP state capital
Lucknow, June 1 (UNI) Reiterating the Bahujan Samaj Party's (BSP) slogan ''Sarvjan Hitaya, Sarvajan Sukhaya,'' Uttar Pradesh Transport Minister Raj Achal Rajbhar inaugarated ''sarvjan hitaya bus services'' at Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Bus station here today.
Under this long distance bus service, six buses were pressed into services in the station and about 426 buses would be provided in the first phase of the scheme.
The buses would be plying between Lucknow, Fatehpur, Banda, Akbarpur, Azamgarh, Sultanpur, Allahabad, Mathura, Agra and Etawah, routes. However, no changes have been made in the ticket fares.
Mr Rajbhar also inaugurated the electronic ticket services at the bus station and said this would help in curbing travelling without paying fares, besides reducing burden on the conductors.
In a bid to provide high-tech bus services in UP, the buses will be connected with GPS system, the minister added.
