Manan scores a quickfire 45

Mohali, June 1 (UNI) Chandigarh were dismissed for 175 in 76.2 overs by Patiala on the first day of the Punjab Inter-District Under-16 Cricket Tournament for ML Markan Trophy being played at the PCA Stadium here today.

In reply, Patiala had made 27/2 in 16 overs at the draw of stumps. After winning the toss, Chandigarh batted first. The highlight of their innings was a quickfire 45 in 46 balls by Manan Vohra.

Jaskaranvir Singh (32), Abhisekh Verma (23) and Azil Chabbra (23) were the other main contributors.

For Patiala, Sandeep Sharma (4 for 84) and Pradeep Kumar (3 for 41) were the most successful bowlers.

Patiala made 27 for 2 in 16 overs at close. Hitesh Bhutani bagged two wickets for 13 runs.
