Forest rights: MP govt issues directives
Bhopal, Jun 1 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh government has issued additional directives for rapid implementation of the Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Other Traditional Forest-Dwellers (Recognition to Forest Rights) Act 2006 and Rule 2008.
While issuing fresh directives to this effect, Principal Secretary (Tribal Welfare) O P Rawat hoped that district collectors would strive to get this Act implemented in a time-bound manner for ending injustice against ST and other Traditional Forest-Dwellers, an official release said here today.
They were also asked to provide free caste certificates to ST and not reject any claim due to non-availability of caste proof, the release added.
