Beni to join Congress, contest from Gonda Lok Sabha seat

Faizabad, Jun 1 (UNI) Samajwadi Kranti Dal (SKD) founder leader Beni Prasad Verma today said he will soon join the Congress and fight the coming Parliamentary election from Gonda constituency.

Talking to mediapersons here, Mr Verma said he will make a formal announcement to this effect at Congress president Sonia Gandhi's rally in Barabanki.

Talking about Samajwadi Party (SP), of which he was earlier a member, Mr Verma said, ''Amar Singh is responsible for the deteriorating condition of the party.'' The SP is no more a people's party and slowly converting into a hub of film stars and corporate personalities, he said.
