Autonomous judiciary must for a stable Pak government: Justice Chaudhary

Islamabad, June 1 : Sacked Pakistan Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary has said that an autonomous judiciary is an absolute must for a stable government in Pakistan.

Vowing to continue the struggle for the restoration of deposed judges, Chaudhry said in Peshawar that the lawyers' struggle for independence of judiciary is exemplary and unprecedented in the world, and he hoped that it will end with the success and achievement of the desired objectives.

Lauding the role of media in supporting the lawyers' struggle, The News quoted Chaudhary as saying that the "Media has proved itself as the voice of the struggle of the lawyers.
