Army Education Corps celebrates 61st anniversary
Chandigarh, June 1 (UNI) The Army Education Corps (AEC) celebrated the 61st anniversary of its raising at HQ Western Command at Chandimandir today.
Western Command GOC-in-C Lt Gen TK Sapru, in his message on the occasion, lauded the contributions being made by the Corps in providing education to the men in uniform and moulding the human resources of the army into a professionally competent force capable of winning future wars.
The Army Commander also appreciated the dedicated efforts of the AEC in the field of information technology, map craft, English, foreign languages and military music besides imparting quality education to the army personnel by enhancing their civil qualification through the IGNOU Army Education Project.
