Area commander of proscribed CPI (Maoist) arrested
Jehanabad, Jun 1 (UNI) In a major breakthrough, Bihar police arrested a self-proclaimed area commander of the proscribed CPI(Maoist) from Uttar Saryu village under Pali police station in the district today.
Police said they acted on a tip-off and sent their sleuths to raid a hideout in the village and arrested Nagina Natt.
He was wanted since long in connection with several disruptive activities carried out by the naxalites, including the infamaous Jehanabad jail break case.
Several criminal cases had been lodged against the arrested ultras at various police stations of the district, police said and added that interrogation was on.
