33 injured as bus collides with lorry

Krishnagar, Jun 1: At least 33 people were injured, five of them critically, when a school bus collided with a lorry on National Highway 34 at Nakdeep under Nakkashipara police station of Nadia district today.

Police said the bus, carrying about 40 students of the Don Bosco School, was enroute from Azimganj of Murshidabad district to Krishnagar when the head-on collision occurred.

The injured were rushed to the Shaktinagar hospital where the condition of five was stated to be critical, the police added.
