3 smugglers arrested along with illicit timber in south Kashmir

Srinagar, Jun 1 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police arrested three smugglers and seized their horses along with illicit timber in south Kashmir, official sources said today.

They said police at Kulgam had received a tip off that illicit timber was being smuggled out from the forest.

However, a police party laid a trap in the area and intercepted three smugglers, who were trying to take timber out from the forest on three horses under the cover of darkness early this morning.

All the three smugglers were arrested and horses and timber seized, they added.
