Post-mortem of firing victims begins at SMS Hospital

Jaipur, May 31 (UNI) The much awaited post-mortem of bodies of the victims of police firing during Gujjar agitation, lying in the mortuary of the SMS Hospital here, began tonight.

Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Narpat Singh Shekhawat said post-mortem of one of the deceased was taken up.

Dr Shekhawat said that the autopsy of only one body was possible.

Post-mortem of the remaining bodies lying at the hopsital might be taken up tomorrow, he said.

As many as 14 bodies of victims of Sikandara firing are lying in the hospital. Earlier, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences(AIIMS) authorities refused to entertain the Rajasthan government's request for providing a team of doctors for conducting autopsy of the firing victims.
