Nepal Maoist's YCL assures not taking law in its hand
Kathamandu, May 31 (UNI)CPN-Maoist youth wing, Young Communist League (YCL) today announced that the organisation will not take action against anyone from now but work towards bringing about economic revolution.
YCL Chairman Ganesh Man Pun made the declaration this morning at the tea reception held by the youth front in the capital to celebrate the republic implementation.
Stating that since the YCL's main agenda, which was republic implementation,has been fulfilled, the Maoist youth wing will now help the police and work towards bringing about economic revolution, Mr Pun said .
''We (YCL) will continue keeping the people alert since the public must be aware in establishing law,'' he said.
Maoist Chairman Puspa Kamal Dahal ''Prachanda'' did not turn up at the gathering citing other work-related engagements.
Nonetheless, Maoist ideologue Ram Bahadur Thapa ''Badal'', Minister for Information and Communications Krishna Bahadur Mahara and Minister for Physical Planning and Works Hisila Yami attended the programme organised at the Maoist central office.
Earlier NC and CPN-UML had declined to join hands with the CPN-M for government formation, demanding disbanding of its youth wing, the YCL, charging it took part in criminal activities.
