Media school to be set up at Guru Jambheshwar University

Chandigarh, May 31 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today announced to set up a media school in Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar.

The Chief Minister was speaking after laying the foundation stones of Haryana School of Business and Knowledge Park to be constructed at a cost of about Rs 317 crore in the University campus.

Mr Hooda said that Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology would be the first University in the country to have a Knowledge Park.

He said the setting up of knowledge park with the cost of Rs 300 crore, would not only promote technical education but would also generate ample employment opportunities.

Vice-Chancellor Dr RP Bajpai said the Knowledge Park would include a Technology Business Incubation Centre, an Auto and Aerospace Component-Design Centre, a Life Science Park (with focus on Bio-technology and Nano Science, Pharmaceuticals and Food Technology), Green and Clean Technology Park, an IT Park, Research Centers of Excellence in a self-sustaining Public Private Partnership model and an Industrial estate.

The Chief Minister directed the Vice-Chancellor to reserve 85 per cent of the seats in Haryana School of Business for the students of the state.
