Groundnut, cottonseed, rapeseed oil, key seeds decline

Mumbai, May 31 (UNI) Prices of spot groundut raw, rapeseed refined, cottonseed refined oil and groundnutseed kernel today declined on renewed selling pressure and weak advice from producing centres, traders at the Bombay Commodity Exchange (BCE) said here.

Among oils (per ten kg), groundnut raw, cottonseed refined and rapeseed refined eased by Rs five each while linseed dropped by Rs seven on selling pressure by stockists owing to larger stocks arrivals from producing centres and expectations of timely onset of moonsons.

However, refined palmolein oil rose by Rs three on fresh demand from retailers and lesser stocks in the domestic markets.

Among seeds (per quintal), groudnut kernel and sesameseed white varieties dropped by Rs 25 each while castorseed eased by Rs ten on heavy offers from stockists in view of better stocks supplies with millers. However, kardiseed and castorseed Disa variety looked up by Rs 25 and Rs 35 respectively on scattered demand from local millers.

In oilcakes (per tonnes), sunflower extraction variety declined by Rs 200 on sluggish demand from shippers in view of larger stocks in the domestic markets, traders added.
