Temperatures rise in HP after clear blue sky
Shimla, May 30 (UNI) Day temperatures across Himachal Pradesh rose by a few degrees today following clear blue sky, while the night temperatures fell by a few points at almost all places of the state.
The maximum temperature in Shimla town rose by almost three points to 25.9 degrees as compared to yesterday, while day temperatures at Sundernagar and Bhuntar stood at 35.5 and 34.6 degrees Celsius.
Una town was the hottest place in the state with day temperature rising by over four points to stand at 40 degrees Celsius, the Met office said.
It said the maximum at Kalpa in Kinnaur district rose by a few notches to 21.5, while the famous tourist resort of Dharamshala recorded a day temperature of 32.4 degrees.
However, Shimla's minimum temperature fell by a degree and a half to 13.6 as compared to yesterday, while Sundernagar recorded a night temperature of 14, Bhuntar 11.5, Kalpa 4.5, Dharamshala 17.5 and Mandi 17.6 degrees Celsius.
Solan recorded a night temperature of 13 and Nahan was warm at 27.1 degrees.
The Met office has forecast rain and thundershowers at a few places in the state during the next 24 hrs.
