Sikh devotee drowns in Gurdwara Sukhchain Sahib Pond

Phagwara, May 30 (UNI) A Sikh devotee was found drowned in the pond of Shri Gurdwara Sukhchain Sahib here yesterday, police today said.

The deceased, identified as Jaspal Singhof local Palahai gate, was suffering with depression which could have led to his taking the extreme step, police quoting family sources said.

He had reportedly been suffering with prolonged illness, they added.

A case under section 174 CrPC has been registered, police said.
