Massive IT raids in MP

Bhopal, May 30 (UNI) Income Tax sleuths raided more than 30 residential premises of about 20 people including Secretary (Home) Rajesh Rajora, Director (Health) Ashok Sharma, other senior officers, a former bureaucrat, builders and contractors, department sources said.

The raids -- aided by police -- began this morning here, at Indore, Jabalpur, Neemuch and Mumbai. Cash and several property-related documents were seized.

Premises included those of Mr Abhay Vishnoi -- who is posted at the state Small Industries Corporation's Jabalpur office -- and is the state Health Minister Ajay Vishnoi's brother.

Meanwhile, Mr Rajora sent his resignation to Chief Secy Rakesh Sahni.
