HP Government notifies increase in minimum wages

Shimla, May 30 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Government today notified increase in minimum wages of the unskilled daily workers from Rs 75 to Rs 100, an official spokesman today said.

The increase in wages would be applicable under the Minimum Wages Act 1948, he said in a release here.

He said the 33.33 per cent increase in wages would also be paid in proportionate to other categories of workers, like skilled and highly skilled and would be payable from January one, this year.

All the employers have also been informed about the increase in the wages, he added.
