Haryana to have solar energy in MW scale

Chandigarh, May 30 (UNI) Harnessing solar energy in MW scale is soon going to be a reality in Haryana.

This could be concluded from the investors' meeting held here under the chairmanship of Mr S C Choudhary, Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary to Haryana government and Chairman, Haryana Renewable Energy Development agency (HAREDA).

The meeting was organised by the HAREDA to discuss the issues regarding purchase/availability of land for the projects, tie up with technology provider and arrangements for debt and equity etc.

Mr Chaudhary assured the developers all possible help from the government to translate their proposals for setting up solar power projects into a reality.
