AP minister inaugurates shopping complexes

Tirupati, May 30 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy today inaugurated two shopping complexes worth Rs 163 lakh constructed by Tirupati Urban Development Authority (TUDA).

Speaking after inaugurating the complex, he said the proposed Rs 114 crore multiplex, second in the state, would be set up here shortly.

Tirupati would become a major business centre and attract huge investments in the coming years, the minister said and added that the TUDA was taking up four projects, including satellite townships, at a cost of Rs 1400 crore under PPP at Vandatapuram near here.

As part of TUDA's master plan, drawn in view of the increasing population in the temple town, traffic islands, roads, bridges would also be developed.

To simplify the procedures, the government had introduced a special Act for the multiplexes in the state, the Minister said.
