Amar alleges Maya of snatching security, life threat
Lucknow, May 30 (UNI) Unleashing vitriol on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati for snatching away his 'Z' plus security, Samajwadi Party general secretary Amar Singh alleged receiving ''life threat'' from the Bahujan Samaj Party government.
Talking to newspersons in a press conference here, Mr Singh charged the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister of plotting his murder.
Naming controversial independent MLA Mukhtar Ansari, he said his murder plans were being made since the last bypoll, wherein BSP candidate Akbar Ahmad Dumpi, who was fielded from the Azamgarh constituency had planned his murder with Ansari.
''They had planned to kill me, when I was heading towards Varanasi from Azamgarh. However, they did not do so as Jaya Bachchan and Jaya Prada, veteran actresses and SP leaders, were with me,'' he added.
''At present, infamous mafias D P Yadav, Mukhtar Ansari and Atiq Ahmad are with Mayawati which is posing great threat to my life,'' Mr Singh asserted.
The UP government had also ''taken away his security'', leaving him ''at their disposal'', he underlined.
Mr Singh, who was here for the hearing of a ''plot allotment case'' against him in the Allahabad High court's Lucknow Bench, said BSP founder late Kanshiram had recommended the plot allotment to him 14 years ago.
However, the BSP government, which achieved power thrice in the state during this time span, now recalled of bungling and irregularities in the case and initiated a probe against him.
He also said the BSP government was planning to ''trap him'' in legal battle and ''kill him'' under law.
