Camp in Varanasi to train kids in Hindu scriptures

Varanasi, May 28, 2008: A school in the holy city of Varanasi has devised a special way to keep children busy during their vacations this summer.

Deviating from the routine singing a local school in Varanasi has embarked on training the children in ancient Hindu texts and hymns. The atmosphere reverberates with the chanting of hymns and 'mantras' as kids learn and recite the texts in the morning.
