Videocon to invest Rs 6,000 cr in Uttarakhand's power project

New Delhi, May 29 (UNI) Videocon Group today said it will invest Rs 6,000 crore in a 1,000-MW hydropower project in Uttarakhand.

''We are planning to invest Rs 6,000 crore in a 1,000 MW hydropower project in Uttarakhand,'' Videocon Group Chairman Venugopal Dhoot told reporters on the sidelines of a conference.

The group is in talks with potential partners in the United States for the project, he said.

However, the time frame for completion of the project has not been disclosed yet.
