Andhra: TTD to construct modern house

Tirumala, May 29: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), the administrative body of the Lord Venkateswara Swamy temple, today decided to construct a modern house at 'Nitya Annadanam Complex' to provide free meals to devotees.

Talking to newspersons here, TTD Chairman B Karunaka Reddy said the proposed modern-house would accommodate 10,000 pilgrims at a time. The decision was taken in view to ban hotel business at the temple premises, he added.

A devotee, whose name was not revealed, had come forward to donate Rs 15 crore for construction of the new modern-house, he added.
