Sow Sathi paddy, lose power connection
Hisar, May 29 (UNI) Following directions of the Haryana Government to discourage the sowing of Sathi variety of paddy to conserve water, the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam has decided to disconnect the tubewell connections of those farmers, who have sowed the Sathi variety of Paddy.
A spokesman of the Nigam said here today that power to tubewell connections of such consumers would be disconnected by the end of month May, 2008 and will remain disconnected for one month.
The reconnection of such tubewells would be made only after the month of June, without any charge, he said.
