Silver, gold end lower in closing session

{image-goldbars60 60_29052008.jpg news.oneindia.in}Mumbai, May 29: Silver and standard Gold ended lower for the fifth consecutive day today at Rs 24,170 per kg and Rs 12,385 per ten gm respectively on heavy offers by stock-holders in view of bearish advice from global markets, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said here today.

Following were the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 24,140 (24,170) Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 12,385 (12,405) Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 12,445 (12,460)
