Reference rate fixed 8 paise lower at Rs 42.77 per USD

Mumbai, May 29 (UNI) Reserve Bank of India (RBI) today fixed the reference rate for US Dollar at Rs 42.77 per unit, eight paise lower from the previous day's level of Rs 42.85 per USD.

The exchange rates for Pound and Japanese Yen against the Rupee were quoted higher at Rs 84.3317 (84.7402) per Pound and Rs 41.71 (41.22) per 100 units respectively, a RBI release here stated.
