Punjab Constitutes Tobacco Control Committees
Chandigarh, May 29 (UNI) The Punjab government has constituted a state level Tobacco Control Committee and all district levels Tobacco Control Committees to evaluate the implementation of the anti-tobacco laws and activities regarding educating the people about the ill-effects of tabacco and its products in the state.
Stating this here today, a spokesman for the state government said Health and Family Welfare Principle Secretary will be the chairman of the Sate level Committee and Managing Director NRHM Punjab will be its vice chairman. State Nodal Officer, District Health and Family Welfare will be member Secretary.
Chairman of the District Tobacco Control Committee will be the Deputy Commissioner, he said.
