No nuke deal without Left approval: Pawar
New Delhi, May 29 (UNI) NCP chief and Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar has said he was not in favour of proceeding with the Indo-US nuclear deal without the Left parties' approval as it would go against the coalition 'dharma'.
''The Left has some doubts over the Indo-US nuclear deal. We are in the coalition government and it will be difficult to proceed with the deal without addressing all the issues with the Left parties,'' he said in an interview to Aaj Tak's 'Seedhi Baat' programme to be broadcast on June 1.
Mr Pawar, a member of the UPA-Left Coordination Committee, said the government was in constant dialogue with the Left parties to address all their concerns on the nuclear issue.
''We are running the government with the support of the Left parties and it will be against the coalition dharma to proceed with the deal without their approval,'' he added.
