Modi to take up with CM issue of BJP MLA thrashing
Patna, May 28 (UNI) Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi today said he would take up with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar about the alleged thrashing of party MLA Phalguni Yadav by state Food and Civil Supply Minister Narendra Singh.
Mr Modi told newspersons here that it was unfortunate that Mr Singh had reportedly thrashed Mr Yadav during a public function in Jamui yesterday.
''I would also send a report to party president Rajnath Singh about the incident to seek his instruction on the issue to handle the matter,'' he stated.
Meanwhile, Mr Modi and state in-charge of the party Hridaynath Singh held meeting with party leaders about the incident. The leaders demanded disciplinary action against Mr Singh forthwith.
