Govt employee fined Rs 1000 for accepting bribe of Rs 100
Patna, May 29 (UNI) The special vigilance court today awarded a government employee one year's RI and slapped a fine of Rs 1,000 for accepting bribe of Rs 100.
Special Vigilance Judge of Patna S K Panwar found Vidyanand Singh, a correspondence clerk in the National Highway of Patna circle, guilty under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and Prevention of Corruption Act.
Earlier, the convict was arrested by the vigilance sleuths, while accepting a bribe of Rs 100 from his colleague for issuing his promotion letter on January 3, 1986.
