French Nuclear Regulatory delegation visits AERB

Mumbai, May 29 (UNI) A four-member delegation from French Nuclear Regulatory has visited Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) at Chembur, an eastern suburb here.

The delegation, led by Guillaume Wack, head of the Nuclear Power plants department of ANS, concluded its visit today. The three-day visit, which had commenced from May 27, was under the Nuclear Safety Cooperation agreement between the two organisations that was signed in July 1999, according to an official release here.

During the visit, a seminar on 'Nuclear Reactor Safety' was organised. Discussions were held on various topics like reactors, reactor pressure vessels and periodic safety review.

A large number of scientists and engineers from AERB, NPCIL, BARC and IGCAR participated in the seminar, the release added.
