Four workers killed by lightning
Davanagere, May 29 (UNI) Four persons including a woman were killed on the spot and five others suffered injuries by lightning in three different villages in Harapanahalli taluk last night.
Police said that the lightning struck the villages last night killing four farm labourers on their way back home from work.
The injured have been admitted to district hospital here.
The victims have been identified as Manja Naik 22, Pravin 20, Umesh 22, Ms Kamalamma 50, belonging to Haluvagulu, Ragimathalwad, and Bendigere villages, police said.
